Rhombohedral Rhodochrosite crystals with dark pink colour, associated with Leifite, Aegirine and Albite. The Rhodochrosite crystals are covered by Rhodochrosite re-crystallized in the form of a crust and/or tiny crystals. Notice the fluorescence of Leifite and Albite crystals in the Fluorescent minerals section. Sawn and polished base to show the colour and gemminess of the crystals.  From the August 2015 find.

Locality: Poudrette Quarry, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec Province, Canada.

Specimen size: large cabinet. 10.5 x 9.2 x 5 cm.
