Classic specimen of fluorescent translucent purple fluorite crystals, up to 2.2 cm on edge, associated with brown sphalerite on matrix. Tiny chalcopyrite crystals are embedded in the hoppered cubic surfaces of the fluorite crystals. Gemmy colorless bi-terminated calcite crystals and tiny gemmy fluorite crystals are scattered amongst the sphalerite crystals. The corner of one fluorite crystal appear to be cleaved or contacted and healed.

Locality: Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, United States.

Specimen size: small cabinet, 9.5 x 6 x 4 cm.
