Sale transactions and prices
Sales on Collection Arkane's website are conducted in Canadians dollars and prices are thus presented in Canadian dollars. Prices may also be expressed in other currencies, such as US dollars and euros, through a function that uses current exchange rates but the resulting values are only close approximations and have no legal value with respect to sales transactions. Because Collection Arkane has no control on the accuracy of the exchange rates being provided by this third party function, only Canadian dollar values are recognized as valid for sales transactions on its website. Upon request, Collection Arkane may also decide from time to time to remove or add new currencies to its exchange rate function.
Ordering, Payment, Shipping and Returns Policies
To place a mineral specimen order
Once you have selected one or more mineral specimens from our collections, fill out our Ordering Form with your contact information and choose amongst our Payment Options and Shipping Options. A confirmation e-mail will be forwarded to you with details on the specimen(s) you ordered.
If you have comments, questions or would like more information about one or more specimens from our collections, please send us an e-mail email@example.com with the specimen(s) inventory number and principal mineral name and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please note we reserve the rights to refuse the sale of any specimens.
Collection Arkane accepts payments by MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards, personal or business checks (from some countries only), or bank transfers to our Canadian bank account. Select your prefer payment option on our Ordering Form.
Credit cards payment: Credit card information is provided through a fully secure independent provider webpage (Paypal) and is not recorded nor stored in a database after your purchase has been made.
Personal or business checks payment: Checks are accepted only from known and trusted clients based in some countries for simplicity of processing time. Checks from international clients from other countries may be accepted only if you agree on a long delivery delay. Checks should be drafted to “Collection Arkane” and mailed to: Collection Arkane, 467 Place du Verger, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada J3H 3V3.
Bank transfers payment: Bank transfers are accepted and should be directed to our account through the processing of your purchase.
Shipping is done via Canada Post services unless otherwise requested on the Ordering Form. Shipping rates are calculated on a per-order basis and vary based on parcel weigh, size and destination. Shipping is normally done within few days after payment has been received (money deposited in our bank account or via Paypal). Thus specimens and shipping costs paid by checks will always be delayed for a longer time. Customs and/or duty fees for minerals shipped outside of Canada are the responsibility of the clients.
Because we take great care in packaging mineral specimens for shipping, responsibility for loss or damage to parcels and their content are to be assumed by clients and therefore we encourage you to insure parcels for their full content value. However, within 3 days of receiving a parcel, we will assume any damage to a mineral specimen if the parcel shows no external nor internal damage. Such damaged specimen should be returned to us by same shipping service in its undamaged original packaging material for exchange or credit towards future purchases. Refund will be possible if no alternative specimen(s) can be offered. Return shipping and insurance fees including taxes are to be paid by the client.
In order to allow you to save money on shipping fees if you intend to make multiple purchases, upon request from you we may hold one or more mineral specimens for some time (no more than 30 days) until you notify us to send all your purchases altogether. Whenever such request is done, the specimen will be labelled “Reserved” on our website pages until shipping is actually done. Please indicate so on the Ordering Form. Note that with exceptions we will not hold specimens for more than 30 days; specimens will then be packaged and shipped.
Returns of mineral specimens are accepted if they do not meet your expectations for whatever reasons. Please notify us by e-mail within 30 days of receiving your specimen(s) and let us know if you require a refund or wish a credit towards future purchases. Only the amount paid for the specimen(s) will be refunded, exchanged for specimen(s) of same total value or credited to your account after we have received the returned specimen(s) in the exact same condition it was packaged and shipped to you. Original shipping and insurance fees including taxes are non-refundable nor credited in any circumstances and return shipping and insurance fees are to be paid by the client. Return shipping shall be made with same shipping service used for original delivery.

Before returning a mineral specimen clients have to understand and take into account that, because holding a mineral specimen in your hands cannot be replaced by photographs whatever their quality, we try our best to provide accurate descriptions and high quality photographs without enhancement other than colour accuracy.

By using Collection Arkane’s website, you consent to the data practices described in this Statement. Collection of personal information
Collection Arkane may collect personal information from you when you save or otherwise provide your personal information to Collection Arkane, such as searching for a product, making an order for a product, interacting with us by phone, e-mail, or through our website, mobile applications or otherwise. When you use Collection Arkane’s mobile application, Collection Arkane may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. Collection Arkane and its service providers may use and store this information to provide you with location based services, search results, and other personalized content. Collection Arkane will provide notifications only to those customers who accept to receive such notifications. Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable location services in the device's setting's menu. If you have questions about how to disable your device's location services, Collection Arkane recommends you contact your mobile service carrier or the manufacturer of your particular device.
